Back in 2013 my good friend Matt Bores, my brother Eric, and I wanted to create a kickstarter. We ended up with the OB-1 multitool.
OB-1 combines 14 different features into a simple, lightweight titanium component carried on your keychain. Mainly meant as a tool for tightening loose nuts and bolts, it is no bigger than a key and can pass TSA restrictions.
I was responsible for the design and engineering of the tool, vendor management, packaging design, and setting up the kickstarter campaign. I worked in conjunction with my team members on ideation, campaign management, and fulfillment.
The OB-1 was successfully funded, sold over 300 units, and was featured on many websites including Design Milk, Design Boom, Gear Hungry, and Materialicious.
